“I'm eating a healthy, balanced diet but not losing weight”


I hear it all the time!


When this happens I always ask for a break down of what is being consumed throughout the client’s day. People are often shocked to learn how many calories are in “healthy foods”.

This can’t just be my clients who feel like this! We are facing an obesity crisis because the lines between healthy, unhealthy, low carb, no carb, no sugar, low fat etc. have all been blurred.


For the purpose of keeping it simple (because that’s what I like to do!) here is a list of healthy foods high in calories that you need to be aware of:

🌰 Nut Butters and Spreads

🤔 Hummus

🤔 Dates

🍯 Honey

🤔 Granola

🍍 Pineapple

🍏 Dried Fruit

🍜 Some soups

🍫 Healthy Bars



👉🏻These can all be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet but just be mindful of the calorie density if your goal is fat loss!👈🏻
