SUPPLEMENTS - Necessary or a Waste of Money?

Writer: Sarah SmithSarah Smith

I have a few clients who are rather partial to a supplement (or 10!), whether it’s gut health, menopause, perimenopause, sleep issues etc etc, the list goes on. There are supplements for EVERYTHING if you look hard enough.

BUT here’s the thing….

Your gut health is important, your peri/menopause journey is valid, your sleep issues are real, I get it….

HOWEVER 99% of people just need to:

👉🏻Exercise consistently.

👉🏻Drink less.

👉🏻Walk more.

👉🏻Eat more fruit.

👉🏻Hydrate properly.

👉🏻Eat more fibre.

👉🏻Eat more vegetables.

👉🏻Slow down and eat mindfully.

👉🏻Practise stress management.

👉🏻Prioritise sleep and rest.

Try all of this BEFORE spending hundreds of pounds on random probiotics, gummies, powders and other supplements. I GUARANTEE you’ll feel a ton better!

The supplements I take:

1️⃣Magnesium complex (for bone health, muscle and nerve function and regulation of mood amongst other things)

2️⃣Marine collagen (for skin, bone and joint health)

3️⃣Vitamin D (for bone health as well as its anti-inflammatory properties)

Creatine (for improved exercise performance and cognitive function)
